Meet Andile Khoza

Background:

Andile is founder & CEO of The Metsi Water App (Pty) Ltd. His Tertiary Qualifications include a Bachelor of International Relations from Witwatersrand University and an Advanced Diploma for International and Central Banking from the University of South Africa (UNISA).

What is your personal Gamechanger to the water sector and sustainable development?

“One of the Gamechangers is the Metsi Water App is a communication platform that processes information about burst pipes and stressed water infrastructure. The communication is processed from the app of ordinary citizens, to the platforms back end where it is then verified and graded for its severity. It is finally dispatched to the closest artisan/ plumber or water technician closest to the reported fault.”

Why did you join the UN2023 Gamechanger as youth jury?

“Ideas and innovation find it very difficult to be granted the correct audience for scrutiny or adoption where I come from. I would like to, in my greatest capacity, preside over a process intended to contribute to the on going dialogue of how we intend to make our world a better place. Therefore, the UN2023 Game-Changer presents a trusted global platform that will spearhead ideas that I believe in.”
