Meet Marta Zaragoza Navarro

Formerly involved with the European Youth Parliament for Water, Marta is a member of the World Youth Parliament for Water (where she acts as an Advocacy Working Group Co-Lead) and the Swiss Water Partnership Youth. She is particularly vocal about the importance of identifying and breaking down disciplinary and data silos within the world water movement and the need for more participatory mechanisms in water-related events.

Spanish, French and Swiss, but currently based in China, Marta is pursuing a dual master’s degree in International Relations and International Public Management jointly offered by Sciences Po Paris and Peking University. Specialising in diplomacy, sustainability, youth constituencies, scientific cooperation, and gender equality,  she is writing her MA thesis on gender equality within the diplomatic corps and has previously worked in scientific project management and participatory democracy consulting.
